Edwin Adolf Rudolf Schulz was born April 21, 1926 in Garland, Nebraska to William Adolf August and Sophia Wilhelmina (Tiemann) Schulz and passed away on October 15, 2008 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 82 years, 5 months, 24 days. Ed was baptized on May 16, 1926 and confirmed on March 17, 1940, both at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Garland. He attended school in Garland. On March 11, 1948, Ed was united in marriage to Nora Frieda Klintworth at the home of the brides parents in rural Seward County. This union was blessed with five children. The couple lived by Malcolm, then west of Seward and later moved into Seward. In February 1949, Ed and Nora started Schulz Transfer and Eds Mobil Station. Ed was the proud owner/operator of Schulz Transfer for 59 years and in 2002 established Schulz Truck Rebuilders. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church (Middle Creek) and a former member of the Nebraska Motor Carriers Association. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, William Bill and Sophia Schulz; his siblings and spouse, Alma and Paul Warnsholz and Lester Schulz; parents-in-law, Dietrich and Louise Klintworth; brother-in-law, Elmer Schultz. Ed is survived by his wife, Nora Schulz, Seward; children and spouses, Sue and Brad Bowen, Seward, Bob and Carlene Schulz, Seward, Connie and Kent Suhr, Lincoln, Alan and Beth Schulz, Seward, Nancy and Steve Donnelly, Pleasant Dale; nine grandchildren, Katelyn and Rachel Schulz, Seward, Jennifer, Becky and Amanda Suhr, Lincoln, Joe and Bryanne Schulz, Lincoln, Alison Schulz, Sarasota, FL, Shaunna and Scott Walker, Lincoln, Natalie and Terry Bellamy, Blair; three great grandchildren, Grant Schulz, Taryn and Tannon Bellamy; brothers and sisters and spouses, Marvin and Olinda Schulz, Seward, Bernice and Virgil Lange, Malcolm, Leona and Harvey Beckman, Fort Wayne, IN; sisters-in-law and spouse, Luella Schultz, Pequot Lakes, MN; JoAnn and Tom Sieck, Pleasant Dale; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
