Elizabeth "Betty" (Reznicek) Foster was born on November 4, 1930, in Octavia, Nebraska to Cyril and Marie (Hruska) Reznicek and passed away on October 21, 2023, in David City, Nebraska at the age of 92 years, 11 months and 17 days.
Betty was raised in the Octavia area and attended Ulysses High School, graduating with the Class of 1948. On August 4, 1948, she was united in marriage to Donald Foster at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ulysses. To this union 8 children were born, Yvonne, Susan, Laurie, Louise, Annette, Mary, Steven and Michael. Betty drove a school bus for Seward Public Schools for seven years and was a grocery store clerk for 17 years in Ulysses. She enjoyed spending time with her family and baking, especially kolaches. Betty had a servant heart and enjoyed helping others. Betty and Donald enjoyed going to dances and fishing together. She was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ulysses and was a member of their Altar society.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Foster; son, Steven Foster; brothers, Joe, Larry and Donald Reznicek; sister, Jeannette Minge; son-in-law, Ivan Dvorak; brother-in-law, Bernard Kobza.
Surivors cherishing her memory include her children and their spouses, Yvonne (Jim) Morbach of Bellwood, NE, Susan (Ron) Benes of Brainard, NE, Laurie (Larry) Cemper of Columbus, NE, Louise Dvorak of Seward, NE, Annette (Greg) Beringer of Belwood, NE, Mary (Rod) Seidel of Columbus, NE, Michael (Kelly) Foster of Surprise, NE; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandsons; sister, Pat Kobza of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law Carol Reznicek of Columbus, NE; brother-in-law Lawrence Minge of Hanover, KS; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
