Elizabeth Louise (Blakeman) Majors was born on December 23, 1933, in Concord, California to Stephen and Ruby (Wilson) Blakeman and passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 17 days.
Elizabeth attended Klamath Falls High School in Oregon graduating with the class of 1951. She lived in numerous different places during her life including Chester, CA, Klamath Falls, OR, Portland, OR, Arlington Heights, IL, Denver, CO, Oxnard, CA, Clearwater, FL and Lincoln, NE. While living in Lincoln, she resided at the Grand Lodge Senior Living and Salt Creek Senior Living in the Meadowlark Memory Care. Elizabeth worked in a variety of different fields. She worked as a dental assistant for several years before selling Merle Norman cosmetics. Elizabeth also worked as an AAA Travel Consultant for numerous years. She was a proud Girl Scout leader, and a volunteer for her church and senior center in Florida. Elizabeth was a well accomplished painter, especially landscape portraits. In her free time, she enjoyed swimming, doing yoga, going for walks and traveling the country.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Dr. Robert J. Hilton, DDS; second husband, Glenn Majors; and her infant son.
Survivors cherishing her memory include her daughter, Deborah (Hilton) Sloup and husband, Bill of Staplehurst, NE and their children, Kathryn (Swanson) Neiss and husband, David of Eden Prairie, MN, Laura (Sloup) Stein and husband, Chris of Apex, NC, John Sloup and wife, Melissa of Yankton, SD and 6 great-grandchildren; daughter, Victoria Hilton and Earl Smith of Lincoln, NE, and her children, Justin Huff of Lincoln, NE and Emily Knaub of Lincoln, NE; brother and sister-in-law, Herb Blakeman and wife, Nora of Chester, CA; her precious dog, Annie; three nieces and one nephew, and a host of friends.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
