Elliott James Navis was born September 17, 1986 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and passed away near Seward, Nebraska on August 15, 2007 at the age of 20 years, 10 months, 28 days. Elliott was a 2005 graduate of Seward High School and attended Southeast Community College for two years. He attended Hillcrest Evangelical Free Church in Seward. Elliott shared a love of baseball with his father, Joel and was an avid New York Yankee fan; he also enjoyed spending time with his many friends. Preceding Elliott in death was his grandfather, William I. Navis. Elliott is survived by his parents, Joel and Dawn Navis of Seward; grandparents, Eleanor Navis and Ben and Karen Dreesen, all of Belleville, Kansas; uncles and aunts, John and Christina Navis of Omaha, William L. and Christine Navis of Belleville, Doyle and Christine Dreesen of Scottsdale, Arizona; cousins, Megan, Corbin, Natalie and Garrett Navis; his birth mother and her husband, Kim and Matt Moorhouse of Lincoln; his brothers, Bryce, Guy and Chase and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Elliott. |
