Elsie Augusta (Klintworth) Glantz was born January 31, 1907 in Pleasant Dale, Nebraska to John Klintworth and Margaret (Dankers) Klintworth and passed away in Fresno, California on March 6, 2009 at the age of 102 years, 1 month, 6 days. Elsie attended Immanuel Lutheran School, rural Seward. She attended Seward High School and the University of Nebraska Teachers College High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. She attended nurses training at St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing and Creighton University School of Nursing, both in Omaha, Nebraska. Elsie moved to California in 1942; she was employed as a registered nurse in the Pediatric office of J.E. Young, M.D. in Fresno, California for 33 years. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Klintworth; her brothers, Dietrich, Martin, Henry, John, Theodore and Carl Klintworth and her sisters, Clara, Mary, Louise, Selma, and Dorothea Klintworth and Anna Stillahn. Elsie is survived by her nieces and nephews and special friend, Karen Snelling of Stockton, California. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Elsie. |
