Emmert J. Krauel, Jr. was born on June 6, 1941, in Carroll, Iowa, the son of Emmert J, Sr. and Gertrude (Robinson) Krauel, and passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 20, 2024, at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 14 days.

Emmert grew up on the family farm near Audubon, Iowa. He graduated from Audubon High School with the Class of 1959. Emmert was united in marriage to Betty Clausen in Audubon and to this union three children were born. The couple moved to Fremont, Nebraska where he began his career in printing. In 1964, the family moved to Lincoln where Emmert began working at Robert's Printing. He later worked at the Nebraska State Capital in the printing department for many years. In 1979, he started A Quality Letho Printing. Emmert ran the business for 30+ years. He was currently working at Sam's Club where he was employed for the last couple of years. Emmert loved to go fishing and enjoyed his cats as well as all kinds of animals. He enjoyed tinkering around his farm near Pleasant Dale.

He was preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife, Betty; and infant daughter, Theresa.

Survivors include his four sons, James and wife, Gaylene Krauel, Lincoln, Gene and wife, Barb Krauel, Lincoln, Nathan and wife, Rosie Krauel, Matthew Krauel; brother, Kim and wife, Barb Krauel, Audubon; sister, Jocelyn Shepperd, Wahoo.
