Ernest Albion "Al" Osterlund was born on April 10, 1933, in Maxwell, Nebraska to Lee and Minnie (Yanken) Osterlund and passed away on August 18, 2024, in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 8 days.

Ernest attended and graduated from Maxwell High School with the class of 1951. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Kramer on April 18, 1954, in North Platte, Nebraska and to this union four children were born, Michael, Marsha, Cecil and Karen. Ernest worked at Best Laundry in North Platte, NE and Minot Laundry in Minot, ND. He had a servant heart and loved doing missions for those that were in need. His favorite mission was when he went to Guatemala in 1976, after they suffered a big earthquake. Ernest could fix anything that needed fixing. He had a love for all sports and thoroughly enjoyed spending time fishing.

Ernest is preceded in death by his son, Michael Osterlund; siblings, Frank Osterlund, Robert Osterlund, Irene Osterlund; parents; one grandson.

Survivors cherishing his memory include his wife of 70 years, Dorothy Osterlund; children and spouses, Marsha Bradwisch, Cecil (Barb) Osterlund, Karen (Alex) Snavely; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene (Grant) Peterson; brother-in-law, Edward Wihowski; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
