Ethel Walker Willers was born on October 19, 1909 in Seward County, Nebraska to William Henry and Anna Alice (Turner) Walker and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on July 31, 2006 at the age of 96 years, 9 months, 12 days. Ethel was raised on a farm east of Seward where she attended grade school. Ethel was baptized and confirmed on November 28, 1941, at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. She was united in marriage to John C. Willers on November 7, 1943 by Pastor Heincke at St. John Lutheran Church, Seward. In 1945, Ethel joined Faith Lutheran Church in Seward. The couple engaged in farming in Seward County for many years. In 1984, they retired from the farm to their home in Seward. Ethel suffered a stroke at her home in 1997. After surgery and therapy in Lincoln, she moved to Sundermann Homes in Seward on October 22, 1997, where she has made her home for over 8 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Walker; her husband, John C. Willers in 1992; her sisters, Florence Vrana and Dorothy Walker; her brothers, Bert, Clarence, Earl, William, Clyde and Ralph Walker.

Ethel is survived by her sister-in-law, Christina Walker of Lincoln; nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
