Eunice "Jean" (Fiedler) Kovar was born July 27, 1937 near Valparaiso, Nebraska to Leon and Antonette (Matulka) Fiedler and passed away at her home near Crete, Nebraska on June 5, 2008 at the age of 70 years, 10 months, 9 days. Jean was a 1954 graduate of Garland High School. On August 9, 1955, she was united in marriage to Cyrill H. Kovar. They lived on a farm north of Crete and raised four children, Brad, Barb, Anne and Cyrill Robert. Jean was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Denton; she was also a member of the Altar Society and had served as secretary. Jean enjoyed sewing, gardening, polka-dancing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Antonette Fiedler. Jean is survived by her husband, Cyrill H. Kovar of rural Crete; her children and their spouses, Brad and Susan Kovar, Crete, Barb and Jason Eastman, Paxton, Anne and Jason Tidblom, Omaha, Cyrill Robert and Jessica Kovar, Lincoln; nine grandchildren, Sarah and Aaron Kovar, Lynn, Heather, Terra, Josh and Landon Holmes, Hillary and Raquel Tidblom; three great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Kathy Fiedler, Denton; sister and brother-in-law, Toni Sue and Richard Bohac, Garland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Victor and Annabelle Kovar, Lincoln, Gary and Vi Kovar, Garland, Larry and Judy Kovar, Beatrice, Dan and Delta Kovar, Seward, Ernie Kovar, Wichita, David and Jean Kovar, Lincoln; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Gladys Roebke, Garland and Betsy and Charles Fletcher, Lincoln: other relatives and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Jean. |
