Eva Jane (Marler) Guthal was born December 4, 1908 in Sargent, Nebraska to Charles Louis and Ida Louise (Deal) Marler and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 20, 2006 at the age of 97 years, 9 months, 16 days. She was a high school graduate. On September 8, 1939, Eva was united in marriage to Henry John Guthal in Omaha, Nebraska. They lived in Omaha for 45 years. Henry passed away in 1976 and Eva moved to Seward in 1978 and to Lincoln in 1996. She had been a resident of Bickford Cottage since October of 1998. Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ida Marler; her husband, Henry Guthal; her sister, Margie Miers and her niece, Ruth Payne. She is survived by her great nieces and nephews, David and Sheryl Payne of Loveland, CO, Eunice and Duane Reiner of Lincoln, Phillip and Beth Payne of Arlington, VA, Letitia Payne of Lincoln, Nina and Rodney Lorence of Plattsmouth and Bonita and Rex Liedtke of Gresham; her sister-in-law, Edith Guthal of Seward; many great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great nieces and nephews. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Eva. |
