Florence Henrietta Clara (Niederschmidt) Litty was born August 21, 1920 in Seward County, Nebraska to John Herman and Emma (Forke) Niederschmidt and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on November 4, 2010 at the age of 90 years, 2 months, 14 days. Florence was baptized September 12, 1920 at Immanuel Lutheran Church Middle Creek. On April 17, 1936, Florence was united in marriage to Anthony John Litty in Glenwood, Iowa. They lived all of their marriage life in Seward. Florence was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. Florence is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Tony Litty, Sr. in 2004; her parents, Herman and Emma Niederschmidt; daughter, Linda Lu Litty; son, Anthony J. Litty, Jr., in 2009; her brothers, Elmer Niederschmidt and Arnie Niederschmidt; sister, Lora Hassenplug; grandson, Scott Litty and grandson-in-law, Mike Williams. Florence is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stan and Bonnie Litty of Seward; her daughter-in-law, Marlene Litty of Lincoln; seven grandchildren, Kristie Todd, Gregg and Jen Litty, Lisa Williams, Michele and Scott Franzen, Amy and Kevin Prochaska, Todd Roth, Darin Roth; nine great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lillian and Clayton Verlo of Front Royal, WV; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Florence. |
