Floyd E. Hobbs was born November 20, 1943 in Seward, Nebraska to John "Lawrence" and Ida Belle (Dey) Hobbs the youngest of seven children and passed away at his home in Lincoln, Nebraska on November 18, 2009 at the age of 65 years, 11 months, 28 days. Butch was a 1963 graduate of Seward High School. In 1966, Butch enlisted in the U.S. Army and served two years in Vietnam. Butch worked for Goodyear in Lincoln for 30 years in various departments. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 3 in Lincoln. Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ida Hobbs; his brothers, Gerald and Dale Hobbs; sister, Viola Hartman; brother-in-law, Gerald Hascall. Butch is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lyle and Sonny Hobbs of Lincoln, Clyde and Janyce Hobbs of Seward; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Frank Patrick of Kingman, AZ; sister-in-law, Madge Hobbs, Metaline Falls, WA; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Butch. |
