Frances Mary Hottovy was born on August 2, 1924, near Bee, NE; to Charles and Mary (Miriovsky) Hain and passed away on May 8, 2014, in David City, NE; at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 6 days. Frances grew up in the Bee area, she attended Bee school and District 33 school, she then graduated from Assumption High School, Dwight, NE; in 1941. Frances worked in Omaha during the war and also helped her parents on the farm. On September 10, 1946, she married Anthony J. Hottovy at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee, to this union the couple was blessed with five children. Anthony and Frances farmed and operated a Grade A Dairy for many years. Frances enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and canning all their fruit and vegetables, and also enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren. Frances loved to crochet and made all her children and grandchildren keepsakes. She was a long time member of Assumption Catholic Church where she served as president and other offices on the Altar Society, she was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 110 of Dwight. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Hain, brother and sister-in-law Charles and Martha Hain, sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Edward Greguras Sr. Frances is survived by her husband, Anthony J. Hottovy of Dwight and her five children, Larry and wife Janice Hottovy of Lincoln, NE; Arnold and wife Kathy Hottovy of Lincoln, NE; Anthony C. and wife Christine Hottovy of Brainard, NE; Mary Lou Goggins and husband William of Lincoln, NE; and Rose Winkelmann and husband Fred of Waco, NE; 13 grandchildren, Timothy Hottovy, Shannon Miller, Tyler Hottovy, Scott Hottovy, Heather Hottovy, Angela Cuda, Jennifer Hottovy, Adam Hottovy, Anthony R. Hottovy, Tabatha Janak, Malrie Fuehrer, Brittany Hansen, Melissa Pierce, 9 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and host of friends.
