Frances Dorothy (Benes) Hottovy was born July 3, 1924 near Valparaiso, Nebraska to Andrew Ludvik and Josephine Agnes (Hajek) Benes and passed away on November 29, 2007 in Lincoln, Nebaska at the age of 83 years, 4 months, 26 days. She was a 1941 graduate of Valparaiso High School and taught country school for 7 years. On June 14, 1949, Frances was united in marriage to Raymond Adolph Hottovy in Lincoln, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with seven children, Tom, Gary, Beverly, Steve, Kathy, Jim, and Donna. They lived all of their married life on the farm near Dwight. Francie worked for Bair Machine Company in Lincoln for seven years and for Catholic Quote with Father Jerome Pokorny for 20 years. Francie was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and Altar Society in Dwight. Francie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Hottovy in 1971; her parents, Andrew L. and Josephine A. Benes; brothers, Paul and Ernest Benes; sister, Margaret Kouma; grandchildren, Jason and Matthew Knaub; great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Helen Kuhn; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albert and Georgia Hain, Ivan and Margaret Hottovy, Alois Hottovy, and Robert Snyder. Francie is survived by her children and their spouses, Tom and Susan Hottovy of Adams, Gary and Lori Hottovy of Lincoln, Bev and Ken Knaub of Ceresco, Steve Hottovy of St. Louis, MO, Kathy and Bryan Moss of Ceresco, Jim and Tam Hottovy of Gretna, Donna and Joe Dennick of Ceresco; 21 grandchildren, Sara, Melissa and Lindsay Hottovy; Daniel and Michael Hottovy; Kenny, Megan and Kelly Knaub; Cari, Amanda and Megan Hottovy; Angie and Ashley Bauersachs, Brianna, Paige and Jay Moss; Chelsea and Nicole Hottovy; Hannah, Ali and Jacob Dennick; one great-granddaughter, Amaya Bauersachs; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Benes, Jerome Benes, Dan and Dorothy Benes, all of Lincoln; sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Joe Baxa of Tobias; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tony and Francie Hottovy of Dwight, Marie Hottovy of David City, Marie Snyder of Greeley , CO, Arnold Kouma of Denton and Helen Benes of Waverly; other relatives and a host of friends.
