Frank Joseph Slavik was born August 30, 1925 to Frank and Frances (Divis) Slavik and passed away on May 29, 2012 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 86 years, 8 months, 29 days. He was a 1942 graduate of Seward High School. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army-182nd Airborne, during World War II. On March 23, 1947, he was married to Harriet Virginia Robinson in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Their marriage was blessed with four daughters. The couple moved to the Staplehurst area in 1947. Frank was a farmer; a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church in Seward and Seward American Legion Post No. 33. Frank is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Harriet in 2001; and his sister Frances Lance. Frank's survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Fran and Jim Ehlers, Seward, Pat and Rick Shefferd, Malcolm, Julie and David Schluckebier, Pleasant Dale and Cathy and Ken Kindler, Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
