Frank J. Vrbka was born May 10, 1920 in Utica, Nebraska to Edward and Mary (Pazdersky) Vrbka and passed away in Utica, Nebraska on august 22, 2008 at the age of 88 years, 3 months, 12 days. Frank was a 1937 graduate of Utica High School. On August 16, 1944, he was united in marriage to Loretta Erdkamp and to this union five children were born, Bob, Jack, Marietta, Ann and Judy. They lived in York County until 1979 when they moved to Utica. Frank was a member of the school board of both the Utica and Centennial School Districts for 13 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Utica and Knights of Columbus. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Vrbka; his wife, Loretta Vrbka in 1996; his brothers, Edward, Ernest and Leo Vrbka. Frank is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Beth Vrbka of Seward and Jack and Elaine Vrbka of Waco; his daughters and sons-in-law, Marietta and Rich Glasshoff of Waco, Ann Kosek of Utica, Judy and Scott Woolsey of Ord; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sisters, Rosie Stoll of Lincoln, Carrie Geiger of Seward; sisters-in-law, Jaenne Vrbka, Kay Klemm, Pat Biegert, Marge Gillan and Eleanor Hassler and his lifelong friend and roommate, Rasty Harvey and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Frank. |
