Frieda O. Sieck was born on January 2, 1918, at Corder, Missouri to Fred and Lisetta (Feldmann) Nienhueser and passed away on October 18, 2012, at the age of 94 years 9 months and 16 days. At a young age, she moved with her family to a farm near York, Nebraska. She married Carl Sieck on April 4, 1944 in Seward. They lived at Garland, Nebraska until moving to Adams, Nebraska in 1956. After Carl's death, Frieda worked as a cook in the Adams school for about 15 years. She moved to Lincoln in 1988. She spent 18 years in the Senior Companion Program in Lincoln as well as being active in her church. As an avid Cornhusker fan, Frieda walked to all the home games until she was well into her 80's. She moved to Yuma, Colorado in January of 2010 to be near her daughter. She peacefully went to her Lord on at the Yuma Life Care Center. Survivors include; daughter, Barbara (Glen) Trute of Yuma, CO; son, Robert (Yvonne) Sieck of Peoria, AZ; and grandchildren, Ann and Mark Crook, Gary Trute and Heidi Chrissinger and great granddaughter, Ava Lynn Trute, all of Yuma, and nieces and nephews.
