Gary Warren Craig was born September 28, 1952 in Seward, Nebraska, the son of Gordon Calvin and Helen Marie (Bock) Craig. Gary passed away on June 4, 2010 at the age of 57 years, 8 months, 6 days. Gary was a 1971 graduate of Seward High School. He was united in marriage to Melody Cox on January 1, 1972 at the Seward United Methodist Church. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Billie Jo, Tammy Sue and Rick. Gary was employed for many years at Hughes Brothers Manufacturing in Seward. He was an active member and past assistant fire chief for the Ulysses Fire Department. Gary is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Craig, his son-in-law, Jason Mifflin; father-in-law, Albert Benson; brother-in-law, Larry Cox; sister-in-law, Janet Craig; his grandparents and his nephew, Rodney Craig. Gary is survived by his wife, Melody Craig of Ulysses; their children, Billie Jo Mifflin of Bee, Tammy Sue Jaeger and her husband, Kerry of Lincoln, and Rick Craig of Bee and fiancee, Sherri Slack; grandchildren, Tayler Hoffman, Landon and Makenzie Jaeger, Ryan and Cadance Craig and Toby Nordmeyer; his mother, Helen Craig of Seward; brothers and sisters and their spouses, James Craig of Beaver Crossing, Janet and Ligie Rundell of Albin, WY, John and Sue Craig of Seward, Brian and Tami Craig of Seward, Melissa Craig of Seward; mother-in-law, Wilma Benson, Lincoln; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rick and Nancy Cox of Lincoln, Lonnie and Gail Cox of Copperas Cove, TX, Kathy and Monty Kapke of Enid, OK, Tom Cox of Lincoln; many nieces and nephews; cousins, aunts and uncles and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Gary. |
