Genevieve E. (Marr) Volzke was born July 18, 1918 in Utica, Nebraska to Harry Ross and Ellanora Viola (Patterson) Marr and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on September 9, 2008 at the age of 90 years, 1 month, 22 days. Johnnie was a 1936 graduate of Utica High School. She was employed at Dixon Drug Store and The Flying V, both in Utica. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry R. and Nora Marr; her sisters, Vivian Rutledge and Gwen Somer; brother, Bill Marr; niece and nephew-in-law, Joann and Jerry Winkelman; and niece-in-law, Audrey Rutledge. Johnnie is survived by her brother-in-law, Joe Somer of Corona, CA; nephew, Alan Rutledge of Utica, nephew and niece-in-law, Ross and Artie Rutledge of Utica; niece, Beth Nielsen of Utica; nephews, Randy Marr of Anaheim, CA and Scott Marr of Tulsa, OK; great nieces and great nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Johnnie. |
