Obituary
Growing up he worked with his Dad on the farm. He graduated from Brainard High School with the Class of 1961. At an early age, George was surprised by the special delivery of his first horse, "Dick", who arrived in the back seat of his father's Chevy car. This was the start of a long love affair with horses, spending countless hours breaking, riding and competing. Once he even rode his horse into Ray Petrzilka's bar for a beer.
He trucked for most of his life navigating modular homes to their new destinations. He also had a brief, but exciting hobby racing stock cars.
George married his high school sweetheart, Betty Lou Tesinsky, on October 11, 1961. Together they raised four boys. A sad chapter in George's life was when he lost her to cancer in 1983.
In 2000, George met Joan Walgren at a team penning event and four years later they were married. Together they enjoyed "horsing around" competing at team penning, trail riding and raising buffalo.
George had an easy way about him. He always had a smile on his face and a friendly word for everyone, making friends wherever he went. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
George was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Lou (Tesinsky) Niemann; parents-in-law, Frank and Alice Tesinsky; father-in-law, William Walgren; sister, Marjorie Hauser; sisters-in-law and husband, Bonnie and Vern Cliffords, Bernadine Lewis.
George is survived by his wife, Joan Niemann, Bolivar, MO; four sons and their wives, Randy and wife Jeanne Niemann, Brainard, Doug and wife Renee Niemann, Bee, Steve and wife Linda Niemann, Weston and George and wife Kacy Niemann, Dwight; six grandchildren, Shannon Peard and husband Andy, Wes Niemann, Colton Niemann, Drew Niemann, Matt Niemann and Jake and wife Gabby Niemann; three great grandchildren, Trevor, Levi and Alayna Peard; three siblings, Marianne Long, Don and wife Sharon Niemann, Gary and wife Louise Niemann; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rick Lewis, Cheri and husband Gerald Jensen and Teena Cain; mother-in-law, Margaret Walgren We will always carry memories of life shared with George in our hearts.
