Gladyce J. Kurtz was born October 26, 1913 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Earl and Elizabeth (Knott) Jameson and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on April 30, 2008 at the age of 94 years, 6 months, 4 days. She was a 1932 graduate of Lincoln High School, Lincoln, Nebraska. On December 31, 1939, Gladyce was united in marriage to Glenn R. Kurtz at the Blackstone Hotel in Omaha, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Nancy, Patricia and John. Gladyce was employed at Family Drug in Lincoln, Nebraska in cosmetic and jewelry sales; she retired after 30 years with the firm. Gladyce moved to the Seward area in 2001. Preceding Gladyce in death were her parents, Earl and Elizabeth Jameson and her husband, Glenn R. Kurtz. Gladyce is survived by her children, Nancy K. and husband, Jim Eitel, Seward, Patricia L. and husband, Peter Patrone, Longmont, CO, and John J. Kurtz, Houston, TX. Additional survivors are her grandchildren, Debra L. and Kelly Sullivan, Tricia L. and Russ Stanczyk, Peter Jon and Lucia Patrone, 2nd LT. Will Thomas Patrone, Melissa and Darryl McArthur, Haley Kurtz and Victoria Kurtz; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Reily Sullivan and Devin McArthur; many cousins, friends and beloved pet, Charlie.
