Gladys Mary (Robison) Moravec was born February 1, 1924 in Lodi, Wisconsin, the daughter of Roscoe Hobart and Evelyn Mary (Towne) Robison and passed away on December 4, 2014 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 90 years, 10 months, 3 days. Gladys was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Valders, Wisconsin. She attended Valders Public School where she was a 1942 graduate. Following graduation, Gladys attended business school in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. On February 19, 1944, Gladys was united in marriage to Edmund Ivan Moravec at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manitowoc. To this union five children were born. They moved to the farm near Bee in 1949 and together Ed and Gladys operated a Grade A Dairy and farmed in the Bee and Seward area. Gladys was a longtime member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and Altar Society in Bee and currently a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Seward. Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Mary Robison; her husband, Edmund; daughter, Kathleen Moravec and son, Daniel Moravec. Gladys is survived by her children and spouses, Janet and Dennis Buchholz, Aurora, David and Noreen Moravec, Georgetown, TX, Robert and Nancy Moravec, David City, Pam Moravec, rural Seward; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; her sister, Dorothy Spaeth, Janesville, WI; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jeri and Curtis Fleming, Morse Bluff, Darlene and Carl Wills, Lincoln, Bev Moravec, Nickerson; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
