Gladys Frances (Rezac) Stava was born June 21, 1924 in Bee, Nebraska to Emil and Anna (Wondra) Rezac and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 9, 2007 at the age of 83 years, 2 months, 18 days. Gladys was a graduate of Seward High School. On July 3, 1945, Gladys was united in marriage to Albert Robert Stava and this union was blessed with three sons, Gary, Mark and Kim. Gladys was a life member of the Disabled American Veteran's Auxiliary Robert Flansburg Chapter No. 7 in Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Anna Rezac; her husband, Albert R. Stava; her three sons, Gary Stava, Mark S. Stava and Kim Kurt Stava; her sisters, Tille Schoppe, Joan Schaefer and Mary Ann Rezac and her brother, Emil Bud Rezac. Gladys is survived by her sister, Irma Varner of Seward; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Stava of Lincoln; her grandsons, Scott Stava of New York City, NY, Andrew and his wife, Shannon Stava of Lincoln and Earl Pinkston, Jr. of Topeka, KS; her granddaughter, Tina Lonnis of Topeka, KS; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Tami and Coultyn Lonnis and Earl Denny Pinkston, III, all of Topeka, KS; her sister-in-law and husband, Gladys and Clifford Read of Perry, IA; nieces and nephews, Becky Campbell, Debby Aegerter, Steve Schaefer and Mike Schaefer, all of Seward; Jeri Naber of Beaver Crossing, Janel Menz of Perry, IA, Keith Read of Olathe, KS, and Teresa Malchesky of Colorado Springs, CO; great nieces and great nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Gladys. |
