Glenn Curtis Einspahr was born at Flagler, Colorado on February 18, 1926 to Peter C. Einspahr Jr., and Lillian Irene Einspahr (nee Lange). He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Flagler. He graduated from Zion Lutheran Elementary School in 1940, attended Flagler High School 1940-1943 and graduated from Concordia High School in Seward, Nebraska in 1944.
Glenn graduated from Concordia Teachers College with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in 1947. On July 8, 1947 he married Eva Ialene Mahoney at Emmaus Lutheran Church, Denver, Colorado. He was principal and a teacher at Grace Lutheran School in Kansas City, Kansas 1947-49. He attended the University of Denver 1949-50 and was awarded a Master of Arts degree. In 1961 he received a Doctor of Education degree from this university.
Glenn joined the faculty of Concordia Teachers College and High School in 1950, served as Director of Public Relations and also taught classes. He served for a few months in 1954 as the first executive secretary for the Nebraska Independent College Foundation. In 1958 he initiated the Concordia Secondary Teacher Education program and from 1961-64 he chaired the Graduate Study Committee which led to the establishment of Concordia's Master's degree program in 1966.
Before his retirement in 1992 he taught many courses at Concordia and at various times served as Director of the Graduate Program and Summer School, Education Department chair, and Associate Dean of Education. From 1970-1988 he edited

, Concordia University's professional journal. Following retirement he continued to teach graduate classes and assisted in preparing Concordia University for accreditation evaluations by the Nebraska Department of Education and regional and national organizations.
In 1950, Glenn and his family joined St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. His activities as a member included chairmanship of the Public Relations Committee, Superintendent of the Sunday School, youth Bible class teacher, Elder, and Vice Chairman of the congregation.
Glenn also gave time for activities in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. These included service as Secretary of the Nebraska District Education Committee and Parliamentarian for the District Conventions in the 1960's. On the synodical level he was a member of the Board for Higher Education's Planning and Research Committee in the 1960's. For the Board of Parish Education he was Project Director for the Teacher Education Objectives Committee 1956-57, a member of the Lutheran High Schools Standards Committee 1968-70, and Director of the Coordinator of Christian Education Project 1969-75.
In Nebraska, Glenn was a Concordia representative to the Nebraska Council on Teacher Education from 1963-85 and worked on committees and projects by appointment from the Nebraska Commissioner of Education Office. From 1963-88 he was a visitor for the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, Washington, D.C., on teams assigned to colleges and universities in several Midwestern states and was also appointed to the Council's Review Board for a term. He represented Concordia as a member of the Conference of Lutheran Education Faculties at its national meetings held in connection with the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education national conventions.
Glenn passed away on November 11, 2016 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 90 years, 8 months, and 24 days.
Glenn was preceded in death by his wife of almost 63 years, Eva. He is survived by a daughter, Glennda and her husband, Mark Joyce, Seward; a son, Owen and his wife, Margaret "Maggie," Fredericksburg, VA; a son, Jack and his wife, Kathryn, Denver, CO; and a daughter, Mary McCuistion, Peoria, IL; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bruce and Lilian Einspahr, Lakewood, CO, William Einspahr, Wheat Ridge, CO, Frances Mahoney Smith, Hemet, CA; and nieces and nephews.
