Helen Marie Kovar was born April 18, 1927 at the farm near Garland, Nebraska, the daughter of Frank Joseph and Barbara Catherine (Hromas) Kovar and passed away on October 7, 2015 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 88 years, 5 months, 19 days. Helen was a 1944 graduate of Seward High School. For many years, Helen worked at Russell Stover Candy in Lincoln. Helen also enjoyed her work on the farm with her brother, Joe. Helen was a longtime member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee where she was an active member of the Altar Society and was in charge of the funeral dinner committee for many years. After moving to Seward, Helen began attending St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Frank J. and Barbara C. Kovar and her brother, Joe F. Kovar, in 2010. Helen is survived by many cousins and their spouses and a host of church and family friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Helen.
