Helen Georgia Poe was born on December 18, 1931, to Joseph and Mary (Buresh) Policky near Bee, Nebraska and passed away on April 3, 2013, in Milford, Nebraska at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 16 days. Helen grew up and attended country school in the Bee area. Helen married John Truhlicka in 1955, she later married Rodney Poe on December 18, 1974. She worked at several places in the area before going to work at Sundermann Nursing Home. Helen had 40 years of service before retiring in 2007. She enjoyed needle point, crocheting, baking, playing bingo cards, dancing and polka music. She also enjoyed the great outdoors and going to the lake. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. Helen was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Seward and a former member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee. Helen is survived by her husband; Rodney Poe of Seward, six children; Connie Hull and husband Ron "Charlie" of Seward, Mike Truhlicka of Seward, Gene Truhlicka and wife Julie of Seward, Shirley Cihal and husband Gary of Dwight, Stan Truhlicka of Riverside, CA and Ron Truhlicka and wife Deb of Bee; four step children, Randy Poe and wife Janel of Colorado Springs, CO; Becky and Mike Roberts, Robert Poe and wife Mary, and Roger Poe and Christina all of Lincoln; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Joe Policky of Ruby; and sister, Alice Ekstein and husband Clarence of Valparaiso. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Truhlicka; son, Bobby on September 24, 1963; step daughter Rhonda Adamy; granddaughter, Sarah Truhlicka; great-great granddaughter, Natalie Saltzman; sister-in-law, Sandy Policky.
