Helene Ida Korn was born September 28, 1917 at Shickley, Nebraska to Reverend Alexander and Clara Wilhemina (Scheel) Korn and passed away on November 1, 2007 at her home in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 90 years, 1 month, 3 days. Helene was a graduate of Concordia (College) University and taught at parochial schools in Omaha and Beatrice, Nebraska. She also worked at the former Gass Furniture Company and was self-employed as a tile installer and picture framer. For 30 years, Helene was a bus driver for the Seward Public Schools. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. Helene was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Alexander and Clara Korn; her sisters and their spouses, Elizabeth and Dr. Ethan A. Peterson and Petra and Will Estill, II and her brother-in-law, Rodney Ring. Helene is survived by her sister, Naomi Ring of Kutztown, Pennsylvania; niece and husband, Karin and Les Schreurs, niece, Angela, nephews, Alexander, Will III, and John.
