Henry Leander Turner, Jr. was born September 25, 1934 in Lubbock, Texas to Henry Leander, Sr. and Ella Belle (Robinson) Turner and passed away at his home in Bee, Nebraska on July 31, 2011 at the age of 76 years, 10 months, 6 days. He served in the U.S. Army for nearly two years. Bud was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Jolkowski on April 23, 1960 in Hastings, Nebraska.
Bud was employed with Burlington Northern Railroad as an engineer for 42 years and they lived in the Hastings/Grand Island area for many years. Most recently Bud and Pat lived in Bee, Nebraska for the past five years. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Henry L., Sr. and Ella Turner; his sister, Mary Parker, brother, Roy Turner; his mother-in-law and father-in-law and a brother-in-law.
Bud is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Turner of Bee; his children and their spouses, Brian and Sherry Turner of Omaha, Ken Turner of Council Bluffs, IA, Stephanie and Brad Mensik of Lincoln; nine grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; his brother Bruce Turner of Kansas; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Bud.
