Herbert F. Herb Jungemann, 84, Seward, Neb., died Wednesday (1/13/2010) at home. Born (1/29/1925) to Erich & Mayme (Fischer) Jungemann in Wolsey, SD. Married Verla Manfull on August 30, 1953. Graduated from Wolsey High School and Huron College in Huron, SD. Employed by Western Airlines from 1944 to 1982. Later, employed by Lutheran Family Services in Denver, CO. Passion for flying from an early age. Seward Airport Authority. Contributor of the annual 4th of July Air Show. Former Chairman Montana State Aeronautics Commission. Active in national and community fundraising efforts. As a member of St. John Lutheran church, he was active on numerous boards, committees and organizations. Served on LCMS Commission of Theology and Church Relations. President of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lakewood, CO from 1980-1982. Co-Chairman of LCMS Colorado District for Concordia Seward Library Building Fund Campaign. Active in Promise Keepers. Known for his willingness to help anyone in need: family, friends, and neighbors. Family: wife, Verla Jungemann; daughters and sons-in-law, Gale Jungemann-Schulz and Robin Schulz, Seward, NE; Loa and Scott Jansen, Littleton, CO; son, Lon Jungemann, Seward, NE; brothers and sisters-in-law, Luther & Joyce Jungemann, Osprey, FL; Quin & Joyce Jungemann, Panama City, FL; Bert & Anita Jungemann, Las Crusas, NM; sisters and brothers-in-law, Genevieve & Ed Kahre, Wolsey, SD; Gloria & Jerald Zupfer, Westwood, NJ.
