Imo (Grant) Graff was born on May 1, 1914 in Auburn, Nebraska to Edward and Roberta May (Phippenney) Grant and passed away on October 11, 2009 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 95 years, 5 months, 10 days. Imo was a 1931 graduate of Auburn High School. She attended Christian College in Columbia, Missouri for two years and she also attended Fashion/Art School in San Francisco for two years. Imo worked at the Court House in Auburn and in Omaha at Kilpatrick's. Imo was united in marriage to her lifelong sweetheart, Jack Conrad Graff on March 2, 1941 at the Methodist Church in Auburn. Jack and Imo lived all of their married life in Seward where they were an integral part of the community. After Jack's return from World War II, he took over the Graff Clothing Store and in 1966 Jack and Imo remodeled the store and reopened it as a fine shop of specialty men's clothing - Jack C. Graff Fine Apparel. Together Jack and Imo delighted in every aspect of the apparel business; they enjoyed trips to purchase clothing for the store and were diligent in their royal treatment of their clients. They retired from the business in 1989.
Imo was a member of the Seward United Methodist Church, P.E.O. Chapter CC - Seward and she was a former member of the Seward Area Chamber of Commerce.
Imo is preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Graff in 2000; her parents, Edward and Roberta M. Grant and her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Hazel Grant.
Imo is survived by her niece, Norma Zeman of Scottsdale, AZ; her great nephew, Charles Diers of Lincoln and his former wife, Susan Diers, also of Lincoln; her great-great-niece, Jamie and her husband Jason Jolicoeur and their children, Noah and Makenna Jolicoeur of Tyler, TX and great-great-nephew, Joel and his wife Erin Diers and their son, Mason Diers of Lincoln and many dear friends.
