Irene Ester Hauschild was born on March 16, 1930, in Stockton, New York to George and Lois (Woodruff) Coe and passed away suddenly of pulmonary flash edema on April 6, 2025, surrounded by loved ones in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 95 years and 21 days.

She was the eldest of five children and was currently residing in Seward. Growing up she worked on the family farm, showed her cow, Meg at the fair, and worked hard. She graduated from Cassadaga High School, went to Atlantic Union College then to New England Sanitarium in Boston for her nursing degree. Irene ended her nursing career as a charge nurse on the OB floor.

She married Otto Hauschild on July 22, 1956, in Stockton, on the family farm. They had 49 wonderful years before his passing in 2005. They loved to birdwatch, camp, and take long drives together.

Irene is preceded in death by her parents; younger brothers and their wives, Paul and Nancy Coe (Delta, CO), Herb and Marie Coe (Broadalbin, NY), and Erwin and Betty Coe (Big Rapids, MI).

She is survived by her younger sister, Donna (William) Rees (Seward, NE); numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. Irene will be inurned alongside her husband at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Southbridge, MA.
