Irma Joyce Fleek was born in Seward, Nebraska on February 3, 1924 to Erwin and Beryl (Colman) Imig and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on February 6, 2011 at the age of 87 years, 3 days. Irma attended elementary and high school in Seward and was a 1941 graduate of Seward High School. She attended National Business Institute and Nebraska Wesleyan University, both in Lincoln. Irma was a bookkeeper for Jones National Bank and later for Sundermann Home for 15 1/2 years. She also sold magazines from her home for many years. Irma was a member of the Seward United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and enjoyed doing volunteer work for her church. Irma was an avid bowler, she enjoyed Bingo, and baking and was an all around "good Joe". Irma is preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Beryl Imig; her husband Lawrence Fleek in 1996; and her brothers, Jim Imig and Robert Imig. Irma is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Patty Fleek of Seward and Mike and Patty Fleek of Lincoln; grandchildren, Jennifer Fleek of Lincoln, Chad Fleek of Lincoln, Adam Fleek of Seward and Eric Fleek of Seward; great grandson, Caleb Blake; nieces, nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Irma. |
