Jacob Zimmerman was born April 21, 1925 at Milford, Nebraska, the son of Jacob "Jake" and Phoebe (Rediger) Zimmerman and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on June 21, 2009 at the age of 84 years 2 months and 20 days. He attended Milford Grade School and graduated from Milford High School in 1943. On April 20, 1946, Jake was united in marriage to Geraldine Ruth Schlueter in Marysville, Kansas. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Douglas, Patricia, Connie and Virginia. Jake was the owner of Zimmerman Construction Company and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Milford. Jake was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Zimmerman in 1992; his parents, Jake and Phoebe Zimmerman; an infant daughter, Connie Lou Zimmerman and his brothers and sisters, Minnie Detweiler, Lee Zimmerman, Alta Zehr, Viola Zimmerman, Stella Burkey, Delmer Zimmerman, Leona Hauder, Vietta Birkey, Leonard Zimmerman and Robert Zimmerman. Jake is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Judi Zimmerman of St. Louis, Missouri; daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Deeble of Seward, Virginia and Don Miller of Milford; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Miller and wife Kim, Justin Miller, Jathan Miller, Jared Miller and fianc, Stephanie Roth, Jamie Talley and husband Steve, Wendy Eis and husband Dan, Denise Winter and husband Richard and Troy Wood and wife Gina; great-grandchildren, Dakota Talley, Amelia Winter, Bethany Winter, Tori Winter, Jacob Wood, Avare Wood, Creighton Wood, soon to be born baby Chalen Wood, Hailie Deeble, Payton Fox, Mallory Eis, soon to be born baby girl Eis, Brenden Miller, Aubreanna Miller, Khail Miller, Aaron Codr, Nathan Codr, Peyton Codr, Levi Miller, Jamison Miller, Korbyn Miller, Makayla Beason, Braden Miller, Derek Miller; other relatives and a host of friends.
