James Leroy Love was born August 24, 1927 in Sioux City, Iowa to Leroy and Daisy Louise (Silvus) Love and went to sleep in death at the age of 81 years, 11 months, 13 days on Thursday August 6, 2009 at his home in Goehner, Nebraska with his loved ones around him. Jim served in the U.S. Army from November of 1945 until January of 1946, in the U.S. Air Force from January of 1946 until January of 1950 and in the National Guard for many years. Jim was a mechanic with the National Guard General Services Administration. Jim was united in marriage to Ella Orpha Stumphy on May 6, 1951 and their marriage was blessed with three sons, James, Jr., Kelly, and Al. Jim and Ella lived in Phoenix, AZ for 18 years, for a short time in Lincoln, NE and have resided in Goehner for the past 29 years. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Daisy Love; his sister, Joyce Anderson; granddaughter, Alizabeth Love and brother-in-law, Donald Bean. Jim is survived by his wife, Ella Love of Goehner; his sons and daughters-in-law, James Love, Jr. of Lorena, TX, Kelly and LeShara Love of Goehner, and Al and Deann Love of Beaver Crossing; 9 grandchildren, Kelly D. Matsushima, James L. Love, III, Justin Love, Jeb Love, Kyle Love, Hannah Love, Kody and Kade Rayburn, Dustin Love; 7 great-grandchildren, Keone, Grant, Jr., and Richard Matsushima, Nikko and Naliyah Love, James Love, IV and Jayme Love; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Barbara Love, Kenny and Donna Love, Don and Annamae Love, all of Lincoln; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Jim McKay of Kearney, Dorothy Bean, Marjory and Oscar Hisky, Patty and Roger Bell, all of Lincoln; and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Jim. |
