James Lee Parnham was born on July 16, 1943, at Keesler Field, Biloxi, MS, to Chester Lee and Madeline June (Stahly) Parnham and passed away on April 1, 2018, in Lincoln at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 15 days.
Jim grew up in the Lincoln area where he attended Park School. When he was older, his father helped him get a job at U.N.L. He also worked at the University of Nebraska as a dishwasher and also did janitorial services until his father retired in 1978. Later Jim moved to Dwight with his father and step mother where he worked at Pine Street Bar. Jim moved to Seward where he lived at Heartland Park until moving to Lincoln in 2013, to be closer to his cousin, Barbara. Jim enjoyed working with leather and drawing horses. He also enjoyed going to the casinos, playing video games and telling corny jokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judy in 1999.
Jim is survived by his cousin, Barbara and husband Vic Wright, Lincoln; two step-brothers, Bruce Prenosil, Lincoln, Randy and wife Cindy Prenosil, Lincoln; step-sister, Kathleen Kapustka, Lincoln; several nieces and nephews.
