Jane E. Hillmann

Jane Eillet Hillmann was born on August 14, 1937, in York County, Nebraska to Walter Otto and Hedwig Maria (Volzke) Schmidt and passed away on May 19, 2026, in Geneva, Nebraska at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 5 days.

Jane grew up in the Utica area where she attended Country Grade School #54 and graduated from Utica High School with the class of 1955. On November 12, 1955, Jane was united in marriage to Alfred C. Hillmann at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. To this union one son, Terry, was born. The couple lived in Utica for many years where Jane was a devoted homemaker. In 1979, Jane and Alfred moved to Waco. She made the move back to Utica, after Alfred passed away in 1986, to care for her mom. On September 1, 1995, Jane moved to York to be closer to her son.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred; brother, Vohn Schmidt; one great grandchild.

Survivors cherishing her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Terry Lee and wife, Myra Hillmann, York; three grandchildren, Tammy Marie Tieken, Cory Lee Hillmann and Tanesha Lee Burdock; seven great-grandchildren, five great, great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
