Janet M. Prochaska Janet Marie (Kliment) Prochaska was born on February 2, 1938 in Weston, Nebraska to Edward and Antoinette Marie (Pekarek) Kliment and passed away at her home in Dwight, Nebraska on October 20, 2007, at the age of 69 years, 8 months, 18 days. Janet attended country school near Weston and was a 1955 graduate of Valparaiso High School. On August 4, 1956, Janet was united in marriage to John James Prochaska in Touhy, Nebraska. They lived on the home place by Brainard until 1989 when they moved into Dwight. Janet helped with the farming and was co-owner of the Pine Street Inn for 13 years. Janet was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard for many years and currently was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight. Janet and John were members of Polka Lovers of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Tonie Kliment; her husband, John J. Prochaska in April of 2006; her sister and brother -in-law, Ramona and Ludvik Hotovy; daughters-in-law, Sandra Prochaska and Toni Prochaska. Janet is survived by her children, Mike and his wife, Laura Prochaska of Havre, Montana; Colleen and her husband, David Baker of Fremont; Ron Prochaska of Dwight; Duane Prochaska and his special friend, Gloria of Dwight; John, Jr. and his wife, Wendy Prochaska of Lincoln; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her twin sister, Janice and her husband, Lawrence Matulka of Valparaiso; special caregiver, Sheryl Simanek of Dwight; other relatives and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Janet. |
