Janyce Louise Hobbs was born on December 12, 1939 in Seward to Arnold Fredrick and Velma Berdeen (Welch) Imig and passed away on December 9, 2017, in Lincoln at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 27 days.
Janyce grew up in Seward where she attended school and graduated with the Class of 1957. She worked for Dick and Bette Sample at Sample's Studios from 1958 until 1967. On June 6, 1965, she married Clyde Dean Hobbs at the Seward United Methodist Church, to this union two daughters were born Michelle and Twila. Janyce was a homemaker and mother until her passing. Janyce enjoyed playing Bingo and going to auctions. She loved watching all kinds of sporting events, but especially loved watching her granddaughter Blair play softball. Janyce and Clyde loved listening to Polka music and going to the senior center. She also liked word finds and looking at Facebook. Janyce was a member of the Seward United Methodist Church.
Janyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde; son-in-law, Tim Walters; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Ida Hobbs; two sisters-in-law, Sonya Hobbs and Viola Hartman; four brothers-in-law, Dale, Gary, Butch Hobbs and Jerry Hascall.
Janyce is survived by her two daughters, Michelle Yoder and husband Ryan of Friend, NE, Twila Gann and husband John of Navarre, FL; six grandchildren: Brandon Yoder, Blair Yoder, Levi Walters, Logan Walters, Braedon Gann and Bryce Gann; brother-in-law, Lyle Hobbs; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and husband Frank Patrick; sister-in-law, Madge Hobbs.
