Jean Katherine (Bettenhausen) Adkins the daughter of Charles and Katherine (Kruger) Bettenhausen was born on February 9, 1925 at Princeton, Nebraska and passed away on April 18, 2018 at Papillion, Nebraska at the age of 93 years, 2 months, and 9 days. Jean attended school in Lincoln graduating from Lincoln High School in 1942.

Jean was employed by Diamond Perforated Metals as an accountant for 20 years before retiring in 1985. For the last several years, Jean has made her home in Papillion near her daughter Sallie. Jean was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Katherine Bettenhausen; her brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Irene Bettenhausen; nephew, Brian Bettenhausen.

Jean is the loving mother of Jodi Adkins, Denver, Colorado; Sallie and her husband Dave Steinacher, Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held for Jean on Thursday, April 26, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 520 W. Lincoln St. Papillion, NE.
