Jean Elizabeth (Beck) Schulz the daughter Carl and Melita (Schroeder) Beck was born in Seward County on September 12, 1922, and passed away on December 2, 2011, in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 89 years, 2 months and 20 days. She graduated from Goehner High School in 1940. She then attended Nebraska Wesleyan University. Jean later worked for the Lincoln Telephone Company. On June 27, 1947, she married Norman Eugene Schulz in Goehner, Ne. Jean worked for many years at Seward Memorial Hospital in the medical records department. She enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, golfing, fishing and spending time with family. Jean was a member of the Friedens United Church of Christ in Seward. Her survivors include her husband Norm of Seward; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Dan Bahensky of Kearney; son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Jeanette Schulz of Seward; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth Lydiatt and husband Chad, Brooke Schulz, Nathan Bahensky and wife Brenda, Blake J. Schulz and fiancé Parwana Noorzad, Ross Bahensky, Bridget Matthiessen and husband Shawn; 4 great grandchildren, Hannah Lydiatt, Lauren Lydiatt, Bria Schulz and Jase Ramirez, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Dick Schulz of Seward, Marvin Schulz and Marilyn of Seward, Lloyd Schulz and Caryl of Goehner, Sara Schulz Briggs of Palos Verdes Estates, CA.
