Jerome Andrew Jirvosky was born March 5, 1930 near Bee, Nebraska to Frank and Rosina (Langbaur) Jirovsky and passed away on March 10, 2008 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 78 years, 5 days. Jerome was born and raised on a farm north and east of Bee and attended Romine District No. 68 Country School. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was engaged in farming and made his home with his brother, Joseph Jirovsky in the home and on the farm where he was born. He was a member of Dwight Assumption Catholic Church. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rosina Jirovsky; his brothers, Bohumil Bud, Frank, Joseph and Charles Jirovsky; sisters & brother-in-law, Mary Ann Jirovsky, Rose Bartek and Lucille & Andrew Benes; and sister-in-law, Antonette Toni Jirovsky. Jerome is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Henrietta and Stanley Benes of Bee and Bernadette Prochaska of Abie; sisters-in-law, Marie Jirovsky of Seward, Lorraine Jirovsky of Seward and Lillian Jirovsky of Lincoln; brother-in-law, Stanley Bartek of Lincoln; many nieces,nephews and cousins; and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Jerome. |
