Gerald Lee Klug (Jerry), 75 of Seward, NE passed away on February 22, 2019. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 2, 1944 to Alvin and Hilda (Lostroh) Klug. Jerry graduated from University High in Lincoln in 1961 and also attended the University of Nebraska. Jerry married Penny Newman on June 18, 1975. Jerry lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with family, playing many rounds of golf with his wife and friends, spending time on his farm and exploring the state of Arizona.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Hilda Klug; father-in-law, Jesse Newman and sister-in-law, Debra Bartling.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Penny of 43 years, Seward; son, Greg, Highlands Ranch, CO; three beautiful grandchildren, Sophia, Caden and Tessa; sister, Robin (Martin) Boring, Malcolm; brothers, Terry Klug and wife Carol, Pleasant Dale, Larry Klug and wife Cyndi, Lincoln; sister-in-law, Jodi Schliefert and husband Brad, Milford; brother-in-law, Bob Bartling, Sergeant Bluff, IA; mother-in-law, Donna Newman, Lincoln; his faithful dogs, Mickey and Rylie.
