Jimmy Lee Berner was born on August 30, 1945, in Plainview, Nebraska to Charles and Tacey (Barber) Berner and passed away on March 11, 2022, at his home in Florence, Arizona at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 11 days.

Jimmy's family lived in the Weston, Nebraska area where he attended and graduated from Weston High School with the Class of 1963. On September 23, 1967, Jimmy was united in Marriage to Jane Dokulil in Lincoln, Nebraska and to this union two children were born. Jimmy worked at Western Electric for several years before going to work at Tenneco. He was a welder for over 30 years before retiring. Jimmy enjoyed working in his yard where he made built a pond for his Koi fish, he also loved bird watching and had several pigeons, cockatiels and chickens. He was an avid Husker fan and loved watching college football and Law & Order. Jimmy was an avid reader of western books, shooting pool and fishing. His true love was his family, friends and his dog, Missy.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charlie, George and Keith Berner; three sisters, Violet Roland, Betty Weiler and Adaila Wickmer.

Survivors cherishing his memory include his wife, Jane Berner, Florence, AZ; son, Troy Berner and wife, Heather Bruno, Staplehurst, NE; daughter, Ginger and husband, Adam Drake, Murdock, NE; six grandchildren, Nathan Bruno, Ethan Bruno, Tony Drake, Shailee Hayek, Justin Drake and Elyse Drake; two sisters, Diane and husband, Gene Turnwall, Bonnie and husband, Steve Sterup; sister-in-law, Jan Hohl.
