IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joann C.
Boshart
September 8, 1961 – November 3, 2023
JoAnn Carol (Deinert) Boshart was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 8, 1961, to Harold and Verna (Meyer) Deinert and passed away on November 3, 2023, at her home in rural Lancaster County at the age of 62 years.
JoAnn was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pleasant Dale, Nebraska. She attended Malcolm High School and received an associate degree from Southeast Community College-Milford and a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska. JoAnn married Bob Boshart on May 28, 1994, in Pleasant Dale.
Her full-time work career was devoted mainly to nonprofits and the insurance industry. JoAnn retired to part-time employment in 2013, working at the Seward Chamber of Commerce and "loved to the end" being a bus driver for Malcolm Public Schools. Being the sibling that worked "part-time" also got her appointed Care Manager for our parents in their last years.
Volunteering and being involved in the community were important to JoAnn. She was actively involved in most projects and productions at Olde Glory Theatre & Community Hall; was actively involved and served in leadership roles as a member of Seward Helping Hands Kiwanis Club; and for many years helped make the Missoula Children's Theater Workshop possible and successful. She was always ready to lend a hand when needed. JoAnn showed up and got it done. She also was our family recordkeeper and historian.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors cherishing her memory include her siblings, Melvin (Linda) Deinert, Jean (Ron) Petsch, and Donna (Brad) Havener; sister-in-law, Lynette Oltman; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and her beloved cat, Matilda "Tillie."
