JoAnn Theresa Hladky was born September 16, 1953 in Seward, Nebraska to Edward Anton and Theresa Marie (Kunasek) Hladky and passed away on June 5, 2012, also in Seward at the age of 58 years, 8 months, 20 days. JoAnn was a 1971 graduate of Seward High School; she received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her Master in Education degree from Concordia University in Seward. JoAnn taught 5th grade at David City Public School for 31 years, retiring in 2008. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church in Seward and formerly was a long time member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee. JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty Tvrdy and niece, Rebecca Hladky. JoAnn is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Reynold and Mildred Hladky of Bee and Edward and Marilyn Hladky of Seward; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Larry Jiskra of Overland Park, Kansas; brother-in-law, Eugene Tvrdy of Ceresco; 17 nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
