John Richard Anderson was born July 31, 1959 in Libby, Montana, the son of Maxine Phyliss (Bock) and Benjamin Anderson and passed away on October 10, 2016 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 57 years, 2 months, 10 days. John was baptized as a child at the First Baptist Church in Payson, Arizona by Pastor Perkins and later was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward by Pastor Jonathan Stein. John received his GED while working at Job Corp in Chadron, NE. He was employed with O'Dell Concrete for many years and was currently with Timpte Manufacturing in David City for over 19 years. John was united in marriage to Laural Joan Giesselman on April 11, 1980 at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. Their marriage was blessed with four children: Brock, Jerrod, Nicole and Lucus.
John was a hard worker, but also enjoyed his hobbies of fishing, ballgames, Nebraska football and watching Brock's baseball teams. First and foremost were his children and grandchildren; he cherished every moment shared with them. He was the type that didn't worry about "material things" and was proud of the fact that he would never "grow up".
John was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Anderson; granddaughter, Charlie Grace; his parents-in-law, Harry and Lois Giesselman; brother-in-law, Bryan Giesselman; grandparents, Ed and Jessie Sheehan; nephew, Trenton Walker and his dog, Lucky.
