IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joshua D.
Johnson
December 13, 1977 – May 25, 2025
J.D. was born on December 13, 1977, to Candice L. (Candy) and Elwood G. (Woody) Johnson in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was raised in Seward, Nebraska and attended the Seward Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1996. He earned his degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska and built an accomplished career in Omaha, Nebraska, where he met his wife, Lindsay, in 2010. They were married on September 15, 2020.
J.D. found joy on the golf course, savored good cigars with friends, filled his home with music, and delighted in cooking delicious meals. He enjoyed taking the unconventional view just to spark conversation. He had a quiet, subtle sense of humor that those close to him came to appreciate and will dearly miss.
Together with his wife, J.D. opened his heart and home to dogs in need, providing comfort and care. This act of kindness reflected the generous spirit that defined his life.
His family and friends will always remember him for giving the best hugs – the kind that made everything feel better. He loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. He will be greatly missed.
J.D. is preceded in death by his mother, Candice Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Lindsay Hadfield, Omaha; father, Elwood Johnson, Seward; sister, Milissa Wiles and husband, Paul, Lincoln; sister Danielle Heider and husband, Mark, The Woodlands, Texas; brother, John Johnson, Lincoln. J.D. is also survived by his cherished nieces, nephew and extended family members and friends.
