Juanita Marguerite "Nita" Goings was born on July 25, 1936, in Seward, Nebraska to Jack and Henrietta (Suellwold) Clark and passed away on January 26, 2022, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 1 day.

Nita grew up in Seward and graduated from Seward High School with the Class of 1954. She was united in marriage to John Hoffman in 1957 and to this union two sons were born. John passed away on November 17, 1984. The family lived in Papillion for several years where Nita worked at the Sarpy County Treasurer's Office. Nita moved back to Seward and worked in the Seward County Treasurer's Office for several years. She married Harold Goings in Las Vegas in April of 1988. They loved spending their winters in Arizona and they also enjoyed time at their cabin near Bellwood.

Nita enjoyed reading, playing cards with her friends, collecting precious moments and owls. The family loved going camping with the Suhrs and Jochimsen families. She also loved attending The Last Supper and watching plays. Nita worked many elections throughout the years. She was a kind and joyous lady who loved her family.

Nita is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John Hoffman and Dean Goings; son, James Hoffman.

Nita is survived by her son, Jon and wife, Sue Parrick-Hoffman; stepchildren, Pam Thompson, Mike and wife, Vicki Goings, and Dianna Ratzlow; grandchildren, Carrie, Brooke, Barrett, Sean, Brittany, Marc, Tyson, Lucus, Brett, Alisha, Michelle, Becky, and Stephanie; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Clark; nieces, Andrea, Lori, and Cindy; daughters-in-law, Kathy Hoffman, and Sandy Hoffman.
