June Margaret Adams was born on June 27, 1927, near Seward and passed away on March 11, 2015, at her home in Beaver Crossing at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 12 days. She grew up in the Seward area where she attended and graduated from country school. After school she lived in Lincoln where she worked for a Doctor, caring for their children and helped with housekeeping. She met Leo Adams in Seward, the couple went to the fair in Nebraska City on September 13, 1950 and decided to get married. They lived in Utica until Leo was drafted into the U.S. Army. Upon his return the couple moved to Beaver Crossing where they farmed for many years. June was a mother and homemaker to her four daughters. June loved horses and training them. She always had a horse even after she couldn't ride anymore. June and Leo enjoyed traveling and camping in South Dakota. June loved being outdoors and spending time with her family and grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo Adams on August 11, 2012, one sister and two brothers. June is survived by her four daughters, Linda Scheinost of Lincoln, Julie Keller and husband Tom of Lincoln, Karen Diedrichs and husband John of Milford and Sharon Adams of Beaver Crossing, 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great great, grandchild.
