June Plessel

June Plessel, 88, went to be with Jesus on September 3, 2026.

June was born April 21, 1938, to Owen and Bessie Bean. She grew up in Seward, Nebraska, and graduated from Seward High School. She married and was blessed with two daughters, Shelley and Laura. June worked for several years before beginning what would become a 15-year career with Nebraska Public Power District in Milford. June had many interests throughout her life. She loved painting, growing flowers, photography and working on her computer. She especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. 

June is survived by her daughters, Shelley (Joe) Bonner of Kingman, Arizona, and Laura (Kirk) Keller of Lincoln; her grandchildren, Breanne (Edwin) Diaz, Jenna (Tyler) Waters, and Lindsey (Tommy) Stegmaier; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Bessie Bean; her brothers, Art and Elmer; and her sisters, Dorothy Rohlfs, Betty Briggs and Mildred Rublee. We would like to convey our thanks and gratitude to our mom’s extended family at The Waterford. Your love, kindness, and grace in caring for her are so deeply appreciated.
